The West Branch Middle School volleyball teams picked up big wins on Wednesday night, as both the 7th and 8th grade squads battled past Marlington in three set matches.
7th Grade
The 7th grade Warriors came out strong and held on for a 25-21, 18-25, 25-22 victory. Rachael Emmons powered the team with 23 points and an impressive 15 aces. She was joined by Raelynn Wutrick with 4 points and 1 ace, Annika Moore with 4 points and 2 aces, and Taci Stitle who added 4 points and 1 ace of her own.
8th Grade
The 8th grade team also went the distance, winning 25-18, 19-25, 25-23 in a thriller. McKenzie Hang led the way with 12 points, 4 aces, and 4 assists. Averie Barr was a standout with 13 points, 7 aces, and 2 kills. Camrynn Weisent chipped in 6 points and 2 kills, while Aubree Adams made her presence felt at the net with 4 kills and 3 assists.
Both teams will be back in action Monday, September 8th on the road at Alliance.
