The girls soccer team once again held its opponent scoreless picking up a 6-0 victory on Thursday at Carrollton. West Branch improves to 11-0-1 and 4-0 in the EBC setting up a winner take all match against Salem next week. The Quakers are currently 1/2 game behind the Warriors in the standings with a record of 3-0-1.
Ellie Colian completed the hat trick on Thursday with three goals while
Sammi Beatty added two and
Cambrie Nezbeth tacked on another. Picking up assists were three by
Ellie Tucker, two by Nezbeth and
Hailie Singer had one.
Audrey Eaton had two saves in goal for the shutout and was supported defensively by Singer, Tucker, Allie Kanagy,
Maggie Tennefoss,
Ciara Evans,
Quincy Rae Burton and
Hallie Vie Burton.
With the shutout the Warriors have tied the team record for shutouts in a regular season.
In JV action, Carrollton and West Branch tied 1-1 in a half. Bri Clark scored the goal for the Warriors assisted by
Carleigh Sanor. Addi Dudley made two saves in goal.
Next up: The Warriors will travel to Youngstown to take on Cardinal Mooney in a non-conference match before heading home on Wednesday for its EBC clash with Salem.
