7th Grade
The West Branch 7th grade volleyball team rallied after dropping the first set to earn a 2-1 victory over Marlington on Monday evening. After falling 14-25 in the opener, the Warriors stormed back with a convincing 25-13 win in the second set and carried the momentum into the third, closing out the match 25-17.
Taci Stitle powered the offense with 16 points, 9 aces, and 4 assists. Rachael Emmons added 8 points, 2 aces, and 4 kills, while Addy Olinger chipped in 3 kills. Karlie Springer had 7 points and 3 aces, and Annika Moore rounded out the effort with 2 kills and an assist.
8th Grade
In the nightcap, the 8th grade squad outlasted Marlington in straight sets, 25-22, 25-22. Aubree Adams finished with 6 points, 2 aces, and 2 kills. Willow Ann Burton contributed 8 points, 3 aces, and 1 assist, while McKenzie Hang delivered 8 points, 5 aces, 1 kill, and 1 assist.
What's Next : West Branch will host Alliance at home on Wednesday.
