Minerva, OH -- West Branch made a strong statement in their EBC opener tonight, rolling to an 11-0 win over Minerva in a dominant all-around performance.
Freshman
Dane Martucci lit up the scoreboard with five goals and one assist, driving the team's offense all night and making a big impact in his first league game. He wasn't the only Warrior who stepped up, as senior
Gavin Clemens added four goals and one assist, while
Reed Martucci also found the net and added an assist. The highlight of the night came when
Colt Williamson buried his first ever career varsity goal, a moment worth celebrating.
The playmakers kept it rolling as
Leonel Gonzales handed out three assists, with
Mason Thomas, Cruz Leone, and
Isaac Biery each chipping in one of their own. In goal,
Lance Myers and
Michael McCartney combined for the shutout, only needing to make one save in a strong team defensive effort.
What's Next:Â Boys Soccer will be back in action at home on Thursday for what should be a great matchup against Poland. JV will play a half starting at 5:45 PM, followed by varsity at 7 PM.
