Poland, OH -- The West Branch golf team traveled to the pristine Lake Club Tuesday to take on Ursuline, falling 158-180 in a competitive match on one of the area's most challenging courses.
Senior Gavin Clay paced the Warriors with a solid 40, followed by strong performances from Lucas Dyke and Bennett Biggs who each carded matching 45s. Collin Jones rounded out the scoring with a 50. Ashton Clay (51) and Mason Runk (52) also contributed quality rounds for the Warriors.
Despite the loss, West Branch showed plenty of fight against a tough Ursuline squad, with several players posting respectable scores on the demanding layout. The Warriors continue to build momentum as they head into the most important stretch of their season.
