The Warrior tennis team closed out its home schedule by defeating the East Liverpool Potters on Monday afternoon 5-0. The Warriors also were able to finish before a driving rainstorm swept through the area canceling other events on the West Branch campus. The Warriors are not 11-3 on the season and have won eight in a row.
Caden Zion and
Camden Lane each won singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
Evan Hancock picked up a 6-0, 6-3 victory in his #2 singles match. In doubles competition the duo of
Jeremy Augustein and
Austin Hawk won 6-2, 6-2 while
Damon Edwards and Zak Karlen won a very competitive match 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) at first doubles.
Cameron McCartney won his JV match 6-3, 6-2.
West Branch will travel to Louisville on Thursday for its final tune up before tournament play begins next week. The match is scheduled to start at 4:15.
