Salem, OH — Coach Falasca and the West Branch girls track and field team made the short trip to Salem to compete in the OHSAA Division 2 district meet at Sebo Stadium. After Day 1 of competition, the Lady Warriors have scored 8 points and currently sit in eighth place. While some athletes' seasons concluded today, several West Branch girls qualified to continue competing in Saturday's district finals with solid performances.

The Girls Discus Throw and Girls Long Jump events will be held as straight finals on Saturday since there were no preliminaries today. West Branch will be represented in the discus by Jocelyn Brink (seeded 111-11) and Addison Bloor (97-5), while Izabella Ludwig (12-6) and Kendelle Hoopes (15-5.25) will compete in the long jump.
