Canton, OH -- After suffering their first loss of the season to Norton earlier in the week, the West Branch Lady Warrior basketball team looked to get back on track while competing in the Shot Clock Shootout at the Canton Memorial Fieldhouse. A strong team effort helped the Lady Warriors bounce back with a 60–41 victory over Shelby earlier today.
West Branch jumped out to an early 16–6 lead and carried a 10-point advantage into halftime at 31–21. Shelby was able to cut into the deficit, trailing by eight at the end of the third quarter, but the Lady Warriors locked in defensively in the fourth. West Branch allowed just seven points in the final period and pulled away to secure the 60–41 win.
Four Lady Warriors scored in double figures, led by senior Tallie Muniz, who had her best game of the season with 19 points and earned game MVP honors. Hallie Vie Burton added 14 points, while Madi Hoopes finished with 11 and Audrey Eaton chipped in 10.
