Dover, OH -- The West Branch boys soccer team made the trip just over an hour to Dover last night, looking to close out the regular season on a high note before heading into tournament play. The varsity team came up just short, falling 2–1 to the Tornadoes.
Junior Reed Martucci scored the lone goal for West Branch, while goalkeeper Lance Myers recorded eight saves in net. WB finishes the reuglar season with a record of 11-4.
JV
In the JV match, West Branch closed out a perfect season with a 3–2 win over Dover. Michael McCartney recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals for the Warriors. The JV team finished the regular season undefeated with a record of 11-0-1.
What's Next: Coach Martucci's team will now shift their focus to tournament play, facing third-seeded Woodridge on Monday, October 13, at 7 p.m.
