THE GAME
Tomorrow night, the 7-1 West Branch boys football team will host the 3-5 Carrollton Warriors at 7:00 PM at Clinton Heacock Stadium in Beloit, Ohio. Prior to the game, West Branch will honor seniors from the band, majorette, flagline, cheer, and football programs during Senior Night recognition. 

Carrollton enters the matchup with a 3-5 record and is coming off a 48-20 loss to Salem. Meanwhile, West Branch is coming off a huge EBC win last week over Alliance, 34-28. Fun fact: West Branch has not lost to Carrollton in 14 years.

West Branch continued its hot streak, winning seven in a row since its week-one opening loss to Canfield, by defeating Alliance in a thrilling 34-28 game… quarterback Grady Hirst completed 16 of 22 passes for 245 yards while throwing two touchdowns and added 69 yards rushing, including a rushing touchdown, in a very solid all-around performance… defensively, Hirst and Drake Stryffeler each recorded interceptions, while Clayton Day led the team with nine tackles, followed by Lukas Black with eight and Zach Coffee with seven… this week, the Warriors turn their attention to a Carrollton offense averaging just under 17 points per game… West Branch's defense, which is holding opponents to just 11.5 points per game, should have success against the Warriors, who have given up around 30 points per contest… look for West Branch's explosive offensive attack to put up significant numbers and many points on the board in this matchup.
