In two exciting matches, the middle school volleyball teams each defeated Minerva Wednesday night in three sets.
The 7th grade team got things started winning a three set battle with the Lions. In a total team effort, the Warriors won the first set 26-24, fell in set two 21-25, but won the deciding third set 27-25. The team had lost to Minerva in three sets earlier in the season. With the win the 7th grade improves to 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the EBC.
Joslyn Sands finished the night with 11 points and two aces.
Willow Ann Burton had 10 points, four aces, and two kills.
Gretchen McCormick had eight points and three kills.
Averie Barr had eight points and two aces, while
Myla Raga had four points.
The eighth grade continued its winning ways with a three set victory 25-23, 22-25, and 25-18. The second set was the first set the team has dropped in EBC play. The team is now 12-0 overall and 6-0 in the EBC.
Lylah Myers led the way with 12 points, three aces, and six kills.
Madi Hoopes had 17 kills, three assists, and two blocks.
Aislyn Ring finished with 15 assists and six points and
Jaimi Mossgrove had nine points, five aces, and four kills.
The teams will finish off their week against Western at home on Thursday.
