Yesterday morning, the West Branch girls soccer team took on the Niles Red Dragons in a fiercely contested match, despite missing three key starters. The game was tightly fought with strong defensive play from both sides, but Niles managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory.
The only goal of the game came from a penalty kick from Maddie Yost of Niles, who managed to get the ball past
Audrey Eaton. Eaton had a solid performance, making four important saves to keep the Warriors in the game.
What's Next: Looking ahead, the Warriors will focus on recovering as they prepare for a critical Eastern Buckeye Conference (EBC) match against the Alliance Aviators. This upcoming game is expected to be a decisive factor in the EBC championship race, and West Branch will be aiming for redemption after Alliance eliminated them from last season's playoffs.
