West Branch football opens its season on Friday against Canfield at Clinton Heacock Stadium at 7 PM.  Last year, the Warriors finished the season 11-2 losing to Canton South in a Regional Semifinal playoff game.  The Cardinals finished 7-4, falling to Ursuline in the second round of the playoffs.  This will be the third straight meeting to open the season between the two schools with Canfield taking the previous two.  Canfield won 38-19 last season and 35-31 in 2022 on its way to a State Championship.
