The 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Minerva in their season opener 27-14.  

The team was led by Elli Colian with 9 points and Madi Hoopes with 8.  Layla Shinn came down with 5 rebounds to lead all players. 

The 7th grade team picked up a 27-4 opening game victory over the Lions.  

Both teams are now 1-0 and will travel to Marlington on Thursday.
