The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams enter winter break both at 6-0 after each team defeated Austintown Middle School on Thursday night.  The 7th grade team won 39-9 while the 8th grade team picked up a 32-14 victory.

For the 8th grade, the Warriors came out with a high energy defense to slow down the Falcons and hold them to 5 points in the first half.  Madi Hoopes led all scorers with 10 points while Sofia Bacconi scored 8. Stella Bacconi, Iris Nezbeth, Layla Shinn and Elli Colian all added important baskets to help secure the win. 
This victory improves the Warriors to 6-0. 

Both teams will return to action on Monday, January sixth at Minerva.
