Norton, OH - After defeating Northwest at home, the West Branch girls volleyball team traveled to Norton to face 19th-seeded Medina Buckeye, vying for a spot in the district final. The Warriors won a closely contested first set 25-23, and it appeared that Buckeye might have a chance to turn the tide.
However, Coach Kuszmaul's team quickly regrouped after a shaky start, taking the second set decisively and dominating the third set to secure a 3-0 sweep.

The Highlights:
The girls played exceptionally well, securing a nice win in three sets. Kendelle Hoopes led the offensive charge with 10 kills, 2 blocks, 12 digs, and 4 points, while Abigail Janosik contributed 9 kills and 2 blocks. Audrey Ring also shined with 7 kills, 8 blocks, and 6 digs.
On the defensive side, Ragan Greeneisen had a standout performance with 9 points, 4 aces, and 18 digs. Josie Milliken added 13 points, an ace, and 9 assists, while Isabel Martig supported with 2 points and 13 assists. Together, the team was strong with their hitting and solid defense, culminating in a well-deserved victory.
What's Next: With their recent victory, West Branch has improved to 17-7 and is heading to the District Championship! The Lady Warriors will take on the 3rd-seeded Norton at Mentor High School this Saturday at 11 AM.
