On a night that saw sunny skies, black skies, and a random rainbow, the Warriors celebrated its five seniors with a 4-1 victory over the visiting Badger Braves. The team closes its regular season with a 10-3-3 record.

Xander Culbertson, and
Austin Johnson were honored before the game in a pre-match ceremony on the field. The Warriors and the Braves then battled to a scoreless tie in the first half. In the second half, it was Culbertson who gave the Warriors the lead and from that point on West Branch was in control. Minutes later Kason Weaver scored for West Branch followed by a
Reed Martucci goal giving West Branch a decisive 3-0 lead. Badger was able to score with just under ten minutes left, but
Mason Thomas answered giving the Warriors their three goal advantage back.
In addition to his goal, Martucci added two assists.Â
Ezra Bickle also had an assist for the winners. West made eight saves in goal and
Lance Myers added three.
In JV action the Warriors defeated the Braves 1-0 thanks to a goal from
Austin Close.
The Warriors improve to 10-3-3 on the season and will take on Elyria Catholic on Saturday at 7 PM at the West Branch Soccer Complex in an OHSAA Sectional Final contest.
