Last night, the West Branch JV boys basketball team saw their eight-game win streak come to an end in dramatic fashion. Dalton hit a buzzer-beating layup as time expired, lifting the Bulldogs to a 32-30 victory over the Warriors.
While no West Branch player reached double figures, the team had a balanced scoring attack. Grady Hirst and Chase Gee each led the way with 7 points, while Caden West and Joey Troyer added 6 points apiece.
The JV squad will look to rebound and close out the season on a high note when they take on Girard this Friday. They drop to 14-7 on the season.
