Meet Recap

On Friday the West Branch Boys Track & Field team competed at the Northeastern Buckeye Conference Championships. Some notable achievements of the night were:

-Mitch Craig placing fourth in the discus with a throw of 126 feet 6 inches
-the boys 4 by 100 meter relay team of Griffith, Lozier, Butcher, and Gossett placing third with a time of 44.5 seconds
-Landon burns placing third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.5 seconds
-Rob Lozier taking the second place spot in the 300 meter hurdles with a new personal best and school record of 38.81 seconds
-Ryan Cuthbertson placing third in the 300 meter hurdles with a new personal best of 40.2 seconds
-Carson Gossett placed third in the long jump at 19 feet 5 and 3/4 inches
-and the 4×400 meter relay team of Burns, Griffith, Gossett, and Lozier placing second behind Louisville with a time of 3:26.9 seconds which ranks them fourth in the state for division 2.

The team will travel back to Salem this Thursday and Saturday for the Division II districts. If you see team members in the hallways wish them luck.
